Police Launch Special Security Operation for Festive Season

COLOMBO (News 1st): Police have announced the implementation of a special security program to ensure public safety during the upcoming festive season.

Police Spokesperson, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) F.U. Wootler, stated that the security plan has been deployed island-wide, covering all police station.

A specialized operation, supported by intelligence officers, is currently in place to guarantee the safety of citizens traveling to urban centers in line with the Sinhala and Tamil New Year for shopping and other festival activities. 

The Police Spokesperson further urged the public to remain vigilant regarding the safety of their cash and personal belongings while navigating crowded shopping areas.
