Dengue Cases Rise in Disaster-Affected Areas

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Health has reported an increase in dengue cases from areas affected by the recent disaster.

Acting Director of the National Dengue Control Unit, Dr. Kapila Kannangara, says that Gampaha and Kandy districts are among the areas recording a higher number of cases. 

A total of 2,170 dengue patients have been reported so far this year. 

In addition, a dengue risk situation has been identified in 41 MOH divisions across the country.
