Minister Vijitha Herath Comments On Venezuela Situation, Calls For Respect Of International Law

COLOMBO (News1st):Minister of Foreign Affairs Vijitha Herath emphasized that a country’s independence must be safeguarded in line with the United Nations Charter and international law.

He made this remark while commenting on the situation in Venezuela, following the US military’s detention of the Venezuelan President and the subsequent US attacks on the country.

The Minister delivered this statement at a media briefing held at the Department of Government Information today.
