Main Suspect in Mannar Shooting Arrested With Live Grenade

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The main suspect in the shooting that killed two people opposite the Mannar Court, along with two others, were arrested with a live hand grenade. 

Police said the arrests were made following a tip-off by officers of the Mannar Divisional Crime Investigation Unit. 

The suspects were taken into custody while hiding at a lodge along the Talaimannar Road.

Those arrested are two residents of Uyilankulam, aged 22 and 38.

The shooting was carried out on January 16.
