Police Question Suspect in Ice Drug Trafficking Case

COLOMBO (News 1st); A suspect arrested in the Horowpathana in connection with an ice drug trafficking case is currently being questioned under a detention order.

The police said that the suspect was produced before the Kabitigollawa Magistrate yesterday, following which a five-day detention order was granted.

Authorities discovered 410 milligrams of ice found in the suspect’s possession. 

The 55-year-old suspect had previously contested the recent local government elections as a candidate of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya.
