Police Implement Special Security Plan for Vesak Week

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Police said a special security plan has been implemented for the Vesak week.

Acting Police Media Spokesperson, Assistant Superintendent of Police Fredrick Wootler, stated that a special traffic plan is also in effect within Vesak zones.

He added that teams have been deployed to closely monitor CCTV footage as part of the security measures.

Additionally, police officers in civilian clothing will be deployed to ensure public safety.
