Final Decision on Kadawatha–Mirigama Expressway Section After Talks With President

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Transport and Highways says that a final decision regarding the construction of the Kadawatha–Mirigama section of the Central Expressway will be made following a discussion with the President.

Deputy Minister Dr. Prasanna Gunasena said that construction work on this section, which was initiated with loan assistance from the China Exim Bank, has currently come to a halt.

He further said that as a result, daily demurrage fees are being incurred.
