Police Hunt for Suspects in Nightclub Brawl

COLOMBO (News 1st); Two investigation teams have been deployed to apprehend suspects involved in a brawl at a nightclub on Park Street, Union Place. 

The altercation reportedly began when Yoshitha Rajapaksa, son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, and his wife refused to wear identification wristbands upon entering the nightclub.

The situation escalated into a physical confrontation, resulting in injuries to a security officer. 

Police have recorded statements from several individuals regarding the incident. The suspects, identified as residents of Dehiwala, Attidiya, and Thimbirigasyaya, are currently believed to have fled these areas.
