Former Chief Justice Takes on New Role at the UN

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Committee on High Posts in Parliament has approved the nomination of former Chief Justice Jayantha Chandrasiri Jayasuriya, P.C., to be appointed as the Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations in New York, USA. 

This decision was made during a recent meeting of the Committee in Parliament.
