Sangakkara century helps Sri Lanka Masters stroll past England Masters

Kumar Sangakarra struck an unbeaten century (106* off 47) as Sri Lanka Masters made light work of the 147-run chase against England Masters in Raipur on Monday.

The captain struck 19 fours and one six allowing his team to blitz its way to the target in the 13th over with nine wickets remaining.

The other two Lankan batters, Romesh Kaluwitharana and Asela Gunaratne, faced just 18 and 12 deliveries, respectively, contributing a total of 38 runs between them.

For England Masters, Phil Mustard hit a half-century (50 off 39) but could not find support which eventually led to England Masters settling for a below-par total.

Eoin Morgan, Tim Ambrose, Darren Maddy, and Chris Schofield scored at less than run-a-ball. Tim Bresnan and Chris Tremlett provided late cameos but their 28-run stand for the sixth wicket was not enough to get a fighting total.
