COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has called on the people to join in making the national transformation program a success — a program aimed at ushering in essential economic, social, and political change for the country.

In his New Year message, the President invited all Sri Lankans to come together in strength and solidarity, united by a shared purpose: to uplift the nation and improve the lives of its people.

The message emphasized that the core spirit of New Year traditions is the renewal of life — to shape individuals who are free from regressive attitudes and outdated thinking.

He added that the New Year becomes truly meaningful when it marks the beginning of personal and collective renewal.

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya has also extended her greetings for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
