COLOMBO (News 1st); Three Sri Lankan nationals in possession of Kush and Hashish have been arrested by officials of the Narcotics Control Unit of the Sri Lanka Customs.
According to Customs, the suspects were arrested following inspections conducted by officials as the suspects attempted to flee the area after arriving in the country from Bangkok.
During the inspection, the stock of drugs was discovered concealed in biscuits and bags of chips.
Accordingly, 1 kilogram and 616 grams of Kush and 1 kilogram and 1,762 grams of Hashish were taken into custody.
Sri Lanka customs stated that the seized drugs were worth approximately 45 million rupees.
Two suspects were identified as residents of Colombo, while the other is a resident of Badulla.
