COLOMBO (News 1st): Adani Green Energy Sri Lanka Limited has informed Sri Lanka's Ministry of Energy that it is willing to work in line with approvals granted earlier, with regard to the 484 MW Wind Renewable Generation Project, if the same are found convenient by the Sri Lankan Government.
Adani Green Energy Sri Lanka Limited noted that it sincerely pursued for state-of-the-art development of 484 MW Wind Renewable Generation Project along with its associated transmission connectivities, including the proposal for a new transmission networks of 220 KV, and 400 KV; until the tariff for the Renewable Energy proposal was approved by the government of Sri Lanka, after more than two years of long negotiations.
It added that it was patiently waiting for the formalization of the government decisions, however, in the absence of any formal communication, it decided to opt out of the project.
Adani Green Energy Sri Lanka Limited said that it was always willing to execute expeditiously the Renewable Energy and Transmission projects, as was approved by the Government of Sri Lanka.
Adani Green Energy Sri Lanka Limited reaffirmed that it will always be available for the Sri Lankan Government to have them undertaken this or any development opportunity, albeit, which augurs well for Sri Lanka and Adani Green Energy Sri Lanka Limited.
