COLOMBO (News 1st); In a startling revelation, a high-level meeting involving several prominent figures has raised significant national security concerns.

The meeting, held at a business center owned by a former powerful minister of the previous government, took place just two days before a court order was issued against Deshabandu Tennakoon, the former Deputy Minister of Defense, disclosed Opposition MP Shanakiyan Rajaputhiran Rasamanickam on Wednesday (5).

The attendees of this clandestine meeting included former Director of Military Intelligence, D.M.I. Chula Kodithuwakku, and former ASP of the Colombo Crime Division, Neville.

Notably, an invitation was extended to Pillayan, who, unable to attend, sent his associate Iniyabharathi in his place. Iniyabharathi was reportedly staying at the Hilton Hotel in Colombo, with his vehicle driven by an individual named Suda, said MP Shanakiyan Rajaputhiran Rasamanickam.

The involvement of Iniyabharathi, a person linked to numerous past murders, has heightened the gravity of the situation, pointed out MP Shanakiyan Rajaputhiran Rasamanickam adding that the meeting's agenda remains unclear, but the presence of such individuals has sparked concerns about a potential conspiracy.

Adding to the complexity, the whereabouts of Police Chief Deshabandu Tennakoon remain unknown, and the woman wanted for the courtroom assasination of crime boss Ganemulla Sanjeewa, is yet to be located.

According to MP Shanakiyan Rajaputhiran Rasamanickam, these developments have cast a shadow over the assurances of national security provided by the authorities.
