COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Finance and Planning has announced that Sri Lanka is nearing the final stages of meeting the criteria for an agreement with the Official Creditor Committee regarding the country's debt restructuring process.
A recent virtual meeting was held with several member countries of the Official Creditor Committee to discuss the progress.
The Ministry stated that the government has developed plans to swiftly meet the criteria required for the agreement.
The Official Creditor Committee, comprising 17 countries, is working individually with Sri Lanka to finalize the necessary agreements.
This collaborative effort aims to ensure that the debt restructuring process is completed efficiently and effectively.
