COLOMBO (News 1st) - According to the Ministry of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation, the United Arab Emirates has agreed to invest in Sri Lanka’s ports and airports.
The announcement was made following a special meeting between Minister Bimal Rathnayake and Ambassador of the UAE to Sri Lanka, Khalid Al Ameri.
The Ambassador confirmed that the UAE would also invest in the development of an airport terminal.
Additionally, the Ministry revealed that President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is set to embark on an official visit to the UAE later this month.
