Lanka Sathosa Commences Sale of Imported Rice Stocks

COLOMBO (News 1st); The sale of imported rice stocks through Lanka Sathosa outlets has now commenced.

Chairman of Lanka Sathosa, Dr. Samitha Perera, stated that 1,500 metric tons of rice have been purchased for this purpose.

Accordingly, steps have been taken to distribute the stock of rice through Lanka Sathosa outlets.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Lanka Sathosa also stated that locally produced rice will continue to be distributed through Lanka Sathosa outlets at controlled prices without any disruption.
