COLOMBO (News 1st): The Ministry of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment has launched a fully-funded job training program offering job training for 50,000 youths, for employment opportunities both locally and abroad.

The Department Of Samurdhi Development says the program targets young people aged between 18 to 35 years from low-income families.

This initiative aligns with the Next Sri Lanka government program aimed at empowering 2 million families over the next five years.

In connection with International Youth Skills Day, skill-testing interviews will be held for the youth community from all Divisional Secretariats across the country. These interviews will take place from July 15 to 23, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
