Ministers Lead Flood Relief Teams In North & East

COLOMBO (News 1st); 2 teams led by Cabinet Ministers have been appointed to oversee relief efforts in the Northern and Eastern Provinces, which have been most affected by the floods.

These teams were appointed under the directives of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Yesterday, the teams monitored the ongoing relief activities in the respective provinces.

Minister of Rural Development, Social Security, and Community Empowerment Professor Upali Pannilage, who leads the team assigned to the Eastern Province, stated that necessary measures are being taken to swiftly restore normalcy to the lives of the people in the district.
