6 Flights Bound for BIA Diverted due to Adverse Weather

COLOMBO (News 1st): Due to the current adverse weather conditions, six flights that arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) were diverted to other airports.

Among them, three flights were redirected to Thiruvananthapuram, two to Mattala, and one to Kozhikodi (KOLI-KKODI) (Calicut International Airport).

Accordingly;

Air Arabia G9508 (A320) arriving from Sharjah to Colombo, was diverted to Kozhikode International Airport (CCJ)

Sri Lankan Airlines UL116 (A333) arriving from Male to Colombo, was diverted to 
Mattala International Airport (HRI)

Sri Lankan Airlines UL455 (A333) arriving from Tokyo to Colombo, was diverted to Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (TRV)

Emirates EK652 (B777) arriving from Male to Colombo, was diverted to Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (TRV)

IndiGo 6E1173 (A320) arriving from Chennai to Colombo, was diverted to Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (TRV)

Etihad Airways EY396 (A321) arriving from Abu Dhabi to Colombo, was diverted to Mattala International Airport (HRI)
