COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has announced it will respond to the Ceylon Electricity Board's (CEB) request for additional time to finalize its proposal on electricity tariff revisions.
This marks the third time the CEB has asked for an extension. The initial deadline for submitting the proposal was November 22, but the CEB has now formally requested an additional two weeks to complete the necessary revisions.
As a result of these delays, the tariff revision for this year remains uncertain.
The Commission had previously noted that the CEB had requested two extensions, leading to a delay of about one month in the submission process.
