Preliminary Agreements for Third IMF Tranche to Be Released Today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Finance says that preliminary agreements regarding the release of the third tranche of the Extended Fund Facility, approved by the International Monetary Fund for Sri Lanka, will be released today.

According to Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Mahinda Siriwardana, a press conference will be held today led by IMF Mission Chief in Sri Lanka, Peter Brewer.

The review for the release of the third tranche was concluded yesterday. 

IMF representatives, who arrived in Sri Lanka on the 17th November, held discussions with Sri Lankan government officials regarding the review of the third tranche's release.
