COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka has been named the most popular solo travel destination for 2025, according to Flash Pack’s latest trends report.
The country's unique blend of cultural experiences, stunning beaches, and scenic tea plantations has made it the top choice, up from fourth place in 2024.
The data also shows that the average age of Flash Pack's solo travellers has increased from 36 to 39 since the pandemic, reflecting a maturing market for independent adventure tourism. This shift coincides with a boom in "social travel" – a trend that fostered over 160,000 new friendships, including 50,000 in 2024 alone.
Asia continues to dominate the trend, with Bali and Mexico also ranking high for solo adventurers.
