COLOMBO (News 1st): The Acting Inspector General of Police, Priyantha Weerasuriya, says that a threat assessment report regarding the security of former Presidents will be presented to the Cabinet.
Acting IGP Weerasuriya said that based on the decision made by the Cabinet regarding the report, a determination will be made on whether to reduce the security provided to former Presidents.
He iterated that the threat assessment report, which will be based on the recommendations of a committee appointed to review the security arrangements for former Presidents, is set to be submitted to the Cabinet by the Ministry of Public Security.
