Karapitiya Teaching Hospital to be Renamed as Galle National Hospital

COLOMBO (News 1st); Cabinet approval was granted today to rename the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital as the Galle National Hospital.
The move comes following a proposal submitted by Minister of Health Dr. Ramesh Pathirana.
Plans are underway to increase the bed capacity at the hospital to 2,858 by the end of this year, making it the second largest after the National Hospital in Colombo.
