Validity period of temporary driving licenses extended

COLOMBO (News 1st); A special gazette notification has been issued making the validity period of temporary driving licenses, two years.

It carries the signature of the Minister of Transport and Highways Dr. Bandula Gunawardana.

Accordingly, from the 31st of March to the 30th of June, the expiry date of every driver's license, regardless of the date mentioned, will be valid for two years.

The order will be effective from the 1st of July.
