COLOMBO (News 1st) - State Minister Janaka Wakkumbura has instructed officials to inspect if garbage disposal in local government divisions is carried out appropriately, citing the rapid spread of dengue in Sri Lanka.
The State Minister says that General Secretaries and Commissioners have been instructed to ensure the process is completed.
However, the public alleges that garbage proper disposal is not carried out in many areas, as local government bodies have been dissolved.
State Minister Wakkumbura also says that the Prime Minister has instructed to properly carry out a dengue control program within the next few days.
