Australia crowned Women's T20 World Champions

Colombo (News 1st) - Australia are the new ICC Womens T20 World Champions after beating South Africa by 19 runs in the Final held in Cape Town on Sunday (26).

South Africa restricted Australia to 156/6.

Opener Beth Mooney top scored with 74.

Chasing 157 to win, the home side ended on 137/6 in their 20 overs.

Australia managed to score 46 in their last five overs but conceded only 39 when it was time for the home side to chase.

This is the Australia Women's side's sixth T20 World Cup title.
