Irish superstar Conor McGregor was in Washington, D.C. this St. Patrick's Day to meet President Donald Trump.

McGregor announced his arrival to The White House on Monday (17) morning, dressed in a green pinstripe suit to celebrate the holiday.

"Happy Paddy's day America!" McGregor said in a video posted by The White House.

McGregor called his meeting with Trump 'the most important' for his country's future, citing illegal immigration issues in Ireland, claiming their government 'abandoned the voices of the people' when speaking to the media in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room.

Taking pictures inside The White House and in front of Donald Trump's presidential portrait, McGregor met the man himself in the Oval Office Monday (18) afternoon. Trump and McGregor posed for a photo-op below.

"Nice pin-stripe suit, it's one of my own I can get you one if you want," McGregor told President Trump in a video recorded by Margo Martin.

"See? We just changed Gulf of America," Trump replied.

"Your work ethic is inspiring," McGregor said. "Your workrate is inspiring.

"Yours is, too," Trump said of the former two-division UFC champion.

McGregor, who was found guilty of sexual assault by a jury in a civil case brought by Nikita Hand last year and forced to pay €250,000 in damages, told press ahead of the meeting with President Trump that Ireland was America’s “little bro”.

Donald Trump became the first former American president to be convicted of felony crimes as a New York jury found him guilty of all 34 charges in a scheme to illegally influence the 2016 election through a hush money payment to a porn actor who said the two had sex.
