"IMF second tranche will be delayed"

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Sectoral Oversight Committee on Alleviating the Impact of the Economic Crisis states that a new agreement will be necessary to receive the second tranche from the International Monetary Fund. 

The Chairman of the committee, Gamini Waleboda, says that only 38 out of the 100 conditions outlined by the IMF have been fulfilled. 

He added that 43 conditions have not yet seen any progress, and the remaining conditions have only been partially addressed. 

The Chairman of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Alleviating the Impact of the Economic Crisis says that this situation may result in further delays in receiving the second tranche of funding from the IMF.
