IMF deeply concerned about impact of the crisis on Sri Lankan people

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The International Monetary Fund says it is deeply concerned, but committed to support Sri Lanka.

Peter Breuer, Senior Mission Chief for Sri Lanka, and Masahiro Nozaki, Mission Chief for Sri Lanka in an exclusive comment to News 1st said that the International Monetary Fund is deeply concerned about the impact of the crisis on the people of Sri Lanka.

They said deep concern is particularly on the poor and vulnerable groups.

Both the Senior Mission Chief of Sri Lanka and the Mission Chief noted that the IMF is committed to support Sri Lanka at this difficult time in line with the IMF’s policies.
