Fertilizer Subsidy Fully Provided to over 228,000 Farmers

COLOMBO (News 1st): Department of Agrarian Development in Sri Lanka says that the fertilizer subsidy has been fully provided for 228,866 farmers.

Commissioner General of the Department of Agrarian Development Rohana Rajapaksa says that the subsidy has been provided on the basis of two installments of 25,000 each and the value have been directly deposited into their bank accounts.

The government has so far allocated 4.3 billion rupees for the fertilizer subsidy.

Commissioner General Rohana Rajapaksa says that a further 1776 million rupees will be received from the Treasury today to the Department of Agricultural Services.
