Litro to commence gas distribution from today (27)

COLOMBO (News 1st); Litro said it will take steps to distribute domestic gas cylinders to the market from Wednesday (27).

Litro said that the unloading of 3,900 MT of gas onboard the vessel which arrived in Sri Lanka on Tuesday (26) has now reached the final stage.

Accordingly, Litro has planned to release 100,000 gas cylinders to the market daily.

Meanwhile, another vessel carrying another 3,600 MT of gas will arrive in the country on Thursday (28).

Litro had taken steps to increase gas prices with effect from midnight on Tuesday (26).

Distribution of domestic gas cylinders was suspended from April 12 until Tuesday (26) due to daily losses incurred by gas companies
