1,400 Sisu Seriya buses for school students

COLOMBO (News 1st); The National Transport Commission stated that about 1,400 Sisu Seriya buses have been deployed to transport school children from Monday (7).

The Director-General of the National Transport Commission, Nilan Miranda said that about 700 SLTB buses are among them.

However, the Ceylon Private Bus Owners' Association stated that in the face of the current Diesel crisis only 4,500 buses can be operated islandwide on Monday (7).

However, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board, Kingsley Ranawaka stated that the process of supplying Diesel to private buses is also taking place successfully.
