CAA consents to releasing gas cylinders from tomorrow

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Consumer Affairs Authority has consented to releasing gas cylinders to the market from tomorrow (05) based on 3 grounds;

Accordingly,

1. Previously imported cylinders must be withheld.

2. The chemical 'Mercaptan', utilized as an odorant to be made mandatory in cylinders.

3. Every 1/100 cylinders to be inspected and the relevant serial number to be handed over to the CAA
