Colombo - Kandy road to remain closed from Lower Kadugannawa

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Colombo - Kandy Road which was closed from Lower Kadugannawa will remain closed until further notice.

Sri Lanka's Road Development Authority said when favorable weather conditions appear, one lane of the road will be opened for vehicular movement.

Last week, Sri Lanka Police introduced the following alternative routes for motorists.

1. Ambepussa – Kurunegala – Katugastota – Kandy

2. Kegalle – Polgahawela – Kurunegala – Katugastota – Kandy

3. Mawanella – Rambukkana – Hatharaliyadda – Galagedara – Kandy

4. Mawanella – Hemmathagama – Gampola – Peradeniya – Kandy
