EXTREME WEATHER: Death toll increases to 16; Over 62,000 affected in 23 districts

COLOMBO (News 1st); The death toll due to Extreme Weather increased to 16, said the Disaster Management Center on Wednesday (10) morning.

The DMC added that a 55-year-old man is reported missing after he was swept away by strong currents in Mudalama, Puttlam.

The DMC said that more than 62,000 people from 23 districts have been affected by heavy rains, floods and landslides.
