COLOMBO (News 1st); The National Dengue Control Unit has decided to implement a special mosquito control program in view of the rising Dengue cases in Sri Lanka.
The unit said in a statement that the program will be implemented from tomorrow until 13th November in 59 selected Dengue High Risk Medical Officer's Divisions covering the Western and Eastern Provinces.
The National Dengue Control Unit said that the assistance of the Armed Forces and the Police will also be sought for the program.
The number of dengue patients identified in the country from January 1 to yesterday (04) this year is 22,902.
