Court issues order against appointing new Communist Party Chairman

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Colombo District Court issued an order on Friday (29) preventing the appointment of a replacement to the post of Chairman of the Sri Lanka Communist Party, after the party decided to remove Raja Collure as its Chairman.

The Communist Party of Sri Lanka on Sunday (24) announced that Comrade Raja Collure has been removed from the post of Chairman of the party, with immediate effect.

The decision was made at the Communist Party of Sri Lanka Headquarters, where a motion was passed to remove Collure from the post of Chairman.
