Digital cards for the fully vaccinated

COLOMBO (News 1st); Preparation of the proposed digital card for individuals who have been fully vaccinated has been completed, the Secretary to the State Ministry of Digital Technology and Enterprise Development, Jayantha de Silva says. He added that the relevant procedures, including the procedure for the issuance of the card is being prepared at present. Accordingly, the issuance of the relevant digital card for those who wish to go abroad for full vaccination has already commenced, he said. De Silva further mentioned that the card was designed based on recommendations issued by the World Health Organization, and is made to be one that is completely secure. According to the Secretary to the State Ministry of Digital Technology and Enterprise Development, the information in the card can only be accessed via a QR code.
