Special Vaccination Program for Senior Citizens in Western Province - NOCPCO

COLOMBO (News 1st); A special vaccination program will take place from Wednesday (11) to administer the COVID-19 vaccine for all senior citizens (Over 60 years) living in the Western Province.

The National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said it has collected details of all those over 60 years of age in the Western Province who have not obtained the COVID-19 vaccine.

The NOCPCO said the senior citizens will be notified via an SMS on when and where they are supposed to obtain the vaccine.

This special vaccination program will take place at the following locations.

01. Colombo District - Sri Lanka Army Hospital in Narahenpita (11th, 12th & 13th August)

02. Gampaha District - Gampaha District General Hospital (12th, 13th & 14th August)

03. Kalutara District - Kalutara District General Hospital on 12th August

The National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said if any senior citizen in the Western Province is yet to obtain the vaccine and has not provided details, he/she must contact 1906 and submit the details.
