COLOMBO (News 1st); The Criminal Investigations Department arrested the Chairman of the Sea Consortium Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, the local agent for X-Press Pearl on Wednesday (16).
Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana speaking to News 1st said the investigations revealed that the local agent had acted in a negligent manner.
The Chairman of the local agent for the X-Press Pearl will be produced at the Colombo High Court in terms of the provisions of the Marine Pollution Prevention Act
