Wanted drug peddler Cheaty arrested in Mulleriyawa

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Police Special Task Force on Friday morning (Apr. 09) arrested wanted drug peddler Sarath Kumara alias "Cheaty", Sri Lanka Police said. "The 44-year-old suspect was arrested while he was in hiding in a bunker at a house in Mulleriyawa," Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana told News 1st on Friday morning (Apr. 09). According to the Deputy Police Chief, it is reported that "Cheaty" was the individual who directed the infamous underworld don "Angoda Lokka" who is suspected to have died in India to criminal activity. Moreover, information has come to light that Sarath Kumara alias Cheaty," is the 9th suspect wanted in connection with the incident where Police STF seized 112 kilograms of Heroin in Weligama on 12th November 2020, DIG Ajith Rohana further noted.
