COLOMBO (News 1st): The final report of the Cabinet Sub-Committee appointed to study the recommendations of the final report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Probe 2019 April 21st Attacks, will be handed over to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on the 31st of March, a top official of the Cabinet Sub-Committee told News 1st.
The Cabinet Sub-Committee appointed to study the recommendations of the final report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Probe 2019 April 21st Attacks, will convene again today (Mar. 24), Secretary to the Committee, Hariguptha Rohanadheera, the Director-General (Legal) at the Presidential Secretariat told News 1st on Wednesday (Mar. 24).
Accordingly, the Cabinet Sub-Committee will convene both today (24) and on Thursday (Mar. 25) to study in-depth, the recommendations of the Presidential Commission's final report and prepare the recommendations of the committee.
The final recommendations of the Cabinet Sub-Committee were set to be handed over to the President on 15th March; however, the committee requested for another two weeks.
The Cabinet Sub-Committee is headed by Minister Chamal Rajapaksa and Ministers Johnston Fernando, Udaya Gammanpila, Ramesh Pathirana, Prasanna Ranatunga, and Rohitha Abeygunawardene are the other members of the Cabinet Sub-Committee.
