Polgolla Reservoir to be emptied on Thursday (11) night

Colombo (News 1st); All spill gates of the Polgolla Reservoir will be opened at 10:00 PM on Thursday (11) to 06:00 AM on Friday (12), to empty the entire reservoir for annual research operations, said the Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka.
The people living on the banks of the Mahaweli River, below the reservoir, should exercise caution and refrain from bathing or swimming in the reservoir.
