COLOMBO (News 1st): A Presidential Task Force has been established on the COVID-19 Vaccination Plan and National Development via a gazette notification issued by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on Sunday (Jan. 10).
The new Presidential Task Force is chaired by Principal Adviser to the President, Lalith Weeratunga.
Additional Secretary to the President, Chandima Wickramasinghe has been appointed as the Secretary to the Task Force.
The Presidential Task Force is tasked with the responsibilities of bringing down the COVID-19 vaccine to Sri Lanka as soon as possible, deciding on the target groups to be vaccinated, and removing the obstacles against the inoculation process.
