FOX KANDY BY FOX RESORTS WINS SILVER AT SATA 2020

Colombo (News 1st); Fox Kandy by Fox Resorts won the Silver Award for ‘South Asia’s Best New Hotel/Resort’ for 2020 at the South Asia Travel Awards (SATA) held as a virtual event this year.

Additionally, Fox Jaffna by Fox Resorts was nominated for the award for ‘Leading Heritage Hotel’ for 2020.

The SATA Awards is the first-ever regional travel award endorsed by multinational associations providing the tourism sector of the South Asian Region with recognition towards their facilities and service excellence.

The South Asian Travel Awards aim to encourage and raise service standards within the regions of the tourism industry. Submissions for awards were received from hoteliers, travel agents, tour operators and service providers from the tourism industry of India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal and Bhutan.

Over 450 international hospitality brands operating in Maldives, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal and Bhutan competed for awards in 42 categories.

Fox Resorts, the boutique hospitality arm of The Capital Maharaja Organization, opened Fox Jaffna in June 2018.

The property, being over a hundred years old, has witnessed an abundance of history, including occupation by insurgents during the Sri Lankan Civil War.
