Ex parte enjoining order against MTV Channel (Pvt) Ltd

Colombo (News 1st); George Steuart Health (Pvt) Limited had obtained an ex parte enjoining order against MTV Channel (private) Limited preventing it from making public any defamatory content against George Steuart Health (Pvt) Limited & its Chairman or key employees.
This is in connection with the news first reportage on the importation of rapid antigen test kits to Sri Lanka.
According to the plaint filed, the plaintiff has valued the Action at Rs. 02 Billion for the purpose of stamp duty.
This enjoining order will be in effect until the 07th of December.
