President in Parliament for Second Reading of the 2021 Budget.

This is the first time the President has entered the Chamber of Parliament after the ceremonial opening of the first session of the 9th Parliament.

He entered the Chamber amidst a warm welcome from Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and listened to the views of Opposition MP Tissa Attanayake, State Minister Shehan Semasinghe and Parliamentarian Yadhamini Gunawardena.

Afterward, the President accompanied by the Prime Minister, Ministers and Government Members went to the Memorial Dining Hall.
