Sri Lanka's COVID-19 tally reaches 11,744

COLOMBO (News1st): Sri Lanka's COVID-19 infection tally rose to 11,744 after 409 people tested positive for the virus on Wednesday.
The patients are linked to the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda clusters that have accounted for 8266 of the total cases, government figures show.
According to the health ministry's epidemiology unit, 6140 patients are under medical care at present.
Meanwhile, 332 patients recovered from the virus on Tuesday, raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 5581.
